Reciting Surah Al Asr Before Leaving A Gathering

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 

If Quran is the tree, Surah Al Asr is the seed. Revive the practice of the companions to recite Surah Al Asr before leaving a gathering.

It was narrated that Abu Madeenah al-Darimi said: When two men among the companions of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam met, they did not part until one of them recited to the other:

وَٱلْعَصْرِ ‎﴿١﴾‏ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ ‎﴿٢﴾‏ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ ‎﴿٣﴾‏

 1. “By al‑‘Asr (the time). 2. Verily, man is in loss” [i.e., Surah al-‘Asr], then one would say salam to (greet) the other. Narrated by Abu Dawood

To Know Is To Love --- Learn Allah's Beautiful Names And Attributes

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 

Performing the 5 times daily prayer is not difficult if you realize the majesty of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Make time to learn Allah's beautiful Names and Attributes. When you know Who you are talking to during prayer, you will be waiting to come back to it over and over again.

وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ فَٱدْعُوهُ بِهَا ۖ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِىٓ أَسْمَٰٓئِهِۦ ۚ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ‎﴿١٨٠﴾

And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing. [Al A'raf 7:180]

وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلْخَٰشِعِينَ ‎﴿٤٥﴾

And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah] (45) [Quran, Al baqarah 2:45]

May Allah bring us closer to Him. Aameen.

The Secret In The Teacher

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 

Scholars said that the secret in the teacher delivering is the secret in that of the students that are attending and benefiting. If the students are sincere in seeking knowledge, it opens up the door for the teacher that wasn't open before because of the sincerity of the students. 

May Allah grant us sincerity. Aameen.

Pray And Pray With Humility

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 

Prayer is the first thing you will be asked about on the Day of Judgement. If it is good, your Day will be good. If it is bad, your Day will be bad.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿١﴾‏ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَٰشِعُونَ ‎﴿٢﴾‏

Certainly will the believers have succeeded: (1) They who are during their prayer humbly submissive (2) [Quran, Mu'minun 23:1-2]

May Allah make us of His obedient servants and grant us success in this life and the next. Aameen.
