Muhammad Is The Messenger of Allah

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

In this time of distance from God and the religion, it is very difficult for many people to appreciate what it means for the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, to be the Messenger of Allah.

We, as Muslims, when we utter the words, Muhammadar Rasullullah, we are testifying that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

(Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) [Qur'an Al-Fath 48:29]

In this verse, Allah himself has testified Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. This means that our testimony is not needed.

Allah could have said "Muhammad is My Messenger" محمد رسولي but He said Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. He said this for a reason. Whenever something is ascribed to Allah, it raises it. It is very special.

Why did Allah send us a messenger?

And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah.
[Qur'an An-Nisa 4:64]

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, is Allah's representative to guide us to Him (the King). The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, is a very special human being. So we love him and we follow him, and we send blessings and salute him with all respect.

"Say: 'If you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you, and forgive you your sins; Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.'
[Qur'an AleImran 3:31]

Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.
[Qur'an Al-Ahzab 33:56]

May Allah Almighty increase our love for the His beloved Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

The Real King

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

All things in the heavens and the earth, and what is on and between them belong to Al-Malik (The Sovereign).

High above all is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth.
[Qur'an Ta Ha 20:114]

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
[Qur'an Al-Hashr 59:23]

It is Allah alone who has the real power of giving life and death, for He alone who has created life and death. He has ordained there will be no death in the Hereafter, and there will be eternal life whether for the inhabitants of the Garden or the denizens of the Fire.

Allah Almighty, as the Sovereign and the King, is fully Just in His communications and judgments concerning His slaves, completely knowledgeable of their affairs, kind towards them and compassionate to the weak and wronged ones among them, violent to exacting retribution from the wrongdoers and criminals among them. He always hears their supplications, responds to their invocations, fulfills their needs, and forgive their mistakes.

The term "king" might be borrowed to describe some of Allah's slaves who have the power of authority to govern their people, dispose their affairs, settle their matters, communicate with others on their behalf, and judge between them in their disputes. This includes, not just a ruler to his subjects, but also a husband to his wife, a parent to his/her children, a teacher to his students, leaders/imam of a masjid to his congregation/community, etc. Such king should be in relation to his people should open his gates to receive them, with no custodian to keep them away from him. He should guide them to the way of truth and justice. His people should make just estimate of him. He should be regarded in sight no more than being one of themselves for the more they appreciate him to the extent of raising him to the position in which he feels he s over them, the more he transgresses beyond the due limits in dealing with them, and behaves insolently towards them.

Although, everyone is responsible for himself and those under his guardianship, the king is responsible for everyone of his people because they are all his wards. On the Day of Judgment, he will be questioned about them.

The king should be adorned with humbleness and abstinence, in spite of his ability to be supreme and extravagant in all the pleasures of life.

King Solomon (Prophet Sulayman, alayhissalaam, said as mentioned in the Qur'an,

O my Lord! forgive me, and grant me a Kingdom which (it may be) suits not another after me; for You are the Grantor of Bounties (without measure).
[Qur'an Sad 38:35]

However, never did he eat his fill, and he used to keep himself in a state of hunger, and when he was asked about the reason for that, he said, "I fear if I eat my fill, I might forget the hunger caused by poverty."

When 'Umar Al-Khattab, Allah be pleased with him, was asked about the reason for his sticking to abstinence and self-restraint, although the pleasures and luxuries of life were available to him from all sides, he said,
No doubt I considered the case of those, in whom Allah Almighty says, 'And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient."' [Qur'an Al-Ahqaf 20] Verily, I decided not to receive all of my good things in this world, in order to save them for the Hereafter.

According to Imam Ghazali, if one has control over his own soul, and it does not prevail over him, and if he is able to make it subject to him, and he does not become subject to it, then, he will attain the degree of a king even though he has no wards to rule over them, for he indeed will be free from need of them all; and this is, to be sure, the position of the Prophets and Messengers sent by Allah Almighty: they were able to be independent from all barring Allah Almighty, with the help of the right guidance He granted to them; and moreover all of their people were in need of them. This is the highest degree one from among mankind could ever attain, followed by that of the scholars endued with knowledge, who are the heirs of the Prophets. Their dominions vary according to their ability to guide their people, and instruct them in knowledge, and be independent from the guidance of others. With these characteristics, a servant approaches the angels in their good merits, and becomes much closer to the presence of Allah Almighty.

When a wise man was asked to give advice to one of the people, he said to him: "Be a king in the world, so that you will become a king in the Hereafter." The man asked, "How would I become a king in the world?" he said: "If you overpower your lust and desire for the (material benefits and pleasures of the) world, you will become a king, for indeed, the real dominion results from freedom (from all wants), and independence from others; and in this way, you will be a king in the Hereafter." But what is so great about being a king in the world, if he is unable to avert from himself even the least harm and evil?

O my Lord, the Sovereign and the King of all the worlds, to Whom does belong the permanent Power, to Your Magnificence do the strongest and the most arrogant among the people fall in humility, and because of Your Glory do the souls of the nearest angels tremble: endow us with the secret of Your Name "Al-Malik" (the Sovereign), and provide us with its mysteries, so that we could have control over ourselves, and be just and fair to (the acts and deeds we do with) our organs, and dispose, by Your Command, of all of our affairs: O Allah, Whose Command, whenever He intends anything, is just to day "Be" and it is (immediately)! And Allah's blessing and peace be upon Muhammad, our master and chief, and upon his family and companions."

Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

When one is blessed with the knowledge of Arabic hears the Name Rahman, he is sure that the one to Whom this attribute belongs is, by all measures, the Grantor of all kinds of favors and graces. But he becomes in need of another form, to affirm the permanence of that attribute, and this is achieved by the Name Rahim, which has the attribute of the Divine Mercy. This Name is uniquely matchless, very different from that which is attributed to people.

Allah Almighty loves that His slaves should have some of His characteristics. From His Mercy, He assigned to all His creatures a single portion of one hundred portions.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah: I heard Allah's Messenger (Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying,
Allah divided Mercy in 100 parts, 99 parts of which were kept with Him, while only one part was sent down to earth. It is this single part which causes his creatures to be merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs from its baby animal, in order not to trample on it.
[Bukhari]

Allah Almighty likes that His slaves should be merciful towards each other, show kindness and love for each other.

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
Indeed, those who are merciful will receive the Mercy of Allah Most Gracious.
That is because they are characterized by One of Allah's Mercy.

One who has mercy becomes closer to the Presence of Allah Almighty. Allah describes His Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, as one endued with mercy and kindness.

Allah says,

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.
[Qur'an Al-Anbiya' 21:107]

Now hath come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful.
[Qur'an At-Tawbah 9:128]

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
I am a (source of) mercy, presented (to all mankind).

It is out of Allah's Mercy towards His slaves that His decrees which have distress for some are always carried out in the company of His Kindness and Compassion, so that the one under such distress will but give thanks to Allah AlMighty, other than Whom none should be praised for any harm. There is no grief to befall somebody but that there is another, more grievous. and it is out of Allah's Kindness that it has not befallen him. The serious catastrophic distresses could never be combined to a single person.

From among the greatest disasters one might suffer is poverty during old age, and death during youth; and both could never gather on a single person. Therefore, there is no distress to smite somebody but that it blots out his sins, or becomes a reason for receiving reward, or delivers him from punishment.

O Allah! O Rahman (Most Gracious) towards all things that come to existence; O You Whose Mercy and Knowledge extend over all things in the worlds. Your Mercy has appeared in all the atoms and particle in the existing world. We never see anything but that we learn of the signs of Your Mercy what draw us to it, and assures our hearts of Your Great Compassion. Show the sights of our hearts the Light of Your Justice, and the Abundance of Your Bounty, O Rahman!

Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Allah

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

According to some learned men and religious scholars, Allah is the Greatest and the Most Magnificent Name, unique to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of all the worlds, the Lord of all beings.

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth...
[Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:255]

Everyone upon the earth will perish, (26) And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. (27)
[Qur'an Ar-Rahman 55:26-27]

He Almighty has given Himself this Name "Allah" affirming the fact that there is no god to be worshiped but He:

إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّـهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ

Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me (only) and establish prayer for My remembrance.
[Qur'an Ta Ha 20:4]

"O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
[Qur'an 27:9]

..."O Moses, indeed I am Allah, Lord of the worlds." ...
[Qur'an Al-Qasas 28:30]

The great name "Allah" occurs over 2,700 times in the Qur'an with which many verses start. It is a single Name solely unique to the Lord, which He Almighty has assigned to Himself, and placed in the head of all of His Names.

This Name "Allah" has the characteristic of being uttered by almost everyone, intentionally or unintentionally, once he starts to do anything, is surprised by anything, it put to confusion because of anything, or is put to trial as a result of anything. Allah Almighty begins His Book with: بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ (In the Name of Allah), which we should say once we intend to do something.

Allah Almighty invites us so many times to call Him in remembrance:

فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِى وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.
[Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:152]

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, also calls the people to do so, when he says:
"The distinctive ones (in the matter of service) will have the priority (to the others)." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Who are the distinctive ones?" he said: "They are those who celebrates (the Praises of) Allah so much often, be they males or females." It is further narrated in a hadith that Allah Himself says: "I'm present with him, who celebrates (the Praises of) Me."
Allah orders us to seek help from Him, in order to become able to overpower whatever problems or sources of grief befall us. The celebration of Allah is a reason for guidance which cheers us up, and a light, which always makes us feel at ease with any difficulty or distress that we might face. With it, Allah provides us with the spiritual power enough for us to overcome difficulties and defeat disasters.

It was narrated on the authority of Jabir that he said:
Once we complained to the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, if the very scorching heat and swelter (of sand whenever we offered the noon prayer), thereupon he said to us: "Seek help from (your saying): "There is no Might, nor Power but with Allah Almighty." no doubt it removes seventy kinds of harm, the slightest of which is distress.

Remembrance of Allah forbids one to commit what is shameful and vile of deeds and words.

Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.
[Qur'an al-Ankabut 29:45]

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
There is no people, sitting to celebrate (the Praises of) Allah, but the angels save them (from what is harmful and evil), Allah's Mercy covers them up, tranquility ascends upon them, and Allah Almighty remembers them in the presence of this (angels) who are with Him.
[Muslim]

It is reported that the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: The best (way of) celebrating (the Praise of Allah) is to say, "There is no god (to be worshiped) but Allah." The one whose heart is attached to such celebration becomes closer to Allah, and since he feels the nearness of Allah, he will have no fear of anyone other than Allah, not will be be concerned but with Allah, nor will he have a desire but for getting His pleasure.

May Allah Almighty make our hearts attached to Him alone. Ameen. Please keep us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Learn all the best Names and call upon Allah by those Names.

And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.
[Qur'an Al-'Araf 7:180]

Say, "Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not recite [too] loudly in your prayer or [too] quietly but seek between that an [intermediate] way.
[Qur'an Al-Isra' 17:110]

Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.
[Qur'an Ta Ha 20:8]

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
Allah Almighty has ninety-nine Names, and whoever keeps (and acts upon) them will be admitted to the Garden.
[Bukhari, At-Tirmidhi]

Allah Almighty orders us to invoke Him, by His Names, and celebrate His Praises by His Attributes.

Allah Almighty says,

O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance (41) And exalt Him morning and afternoon. (42) It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful. (43)
[Qur'an Al-Ahzab 33:41-43]

And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and in fear without being apparent in speech - in the mornings and the evenings. And do not be among the heedless. (205) Indeed, those who are near your Lord are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, and they exalt Him, and to Him they prostrate. (206)
[Qur'an Al-'Araf 7:205-206]

And remember the Name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion. (8) [He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs. (9)
[Qur'an Al-Muzzammil 73:8-9]

Allah's Most Beautiful Names and Attributes are not restricted to those mentioned in the Qur'an or on the tongue of His Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace. There are Names which none of the creatures knows at all, and others, which has been inspired to those nearest among His servants as He pleases.

On the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud that the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
"There is no one suffering from a distress or grief and he says: 'O Allah! I'm your servant, son of Your male servant and female servant, my affairs is in Your Hand, (it is You) Who are decisive in Your Judgments, and just in Your Decrees; I ask You by every Name You have, with which You call Yourself, or inspire to anyone of Your creatures, or reveal in Your Book, or keep with You among the unseen (things), to make the Qur'an a spring for my heart, a light for my breast, and a cure for my grief and a (cause of the) removal of my distress', but that Allah Almighty will remove his distress and grief, and replace them with delight." It was sad:"O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn these?" He said: "Nay, everyone who hears these should learn them."

We ask Allah to increase us in beneficial knowledge and grant us the knowledge of Himself. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

One Body

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it.

Narrated Usama bin Zaid: We were with the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, when suddenly there came to him a messenger from one of his daughters who was asking him to come and see her son who was dying. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said (to the messenger), "Go back and tell her that whatever Allah takes is His, and whatever He gives is His, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in this world). So order her to be patient and hope for Allah's reward." But she sent the messenger to the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, again, swearing that he should come to her. So the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, got up, and so did Sa`d bin 'Ubada and Mu`adh bin Jabal (and went to her). When the child was brought to the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, his breath was disturbed in his chest as if it were in a water skin. On that the eyes of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, became flooded with tears, whereupon Sa`d said to him, "O Allah's Messenger! What is this?" The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "This is mercy which Allah has put in the heart of His slaves, and Allah bestows His mercy only on those of His slaves who are merciful (to others)."

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: We went with Allah's Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, to the blacksmith Abu Sayf, and he was the husband of the wet-nurse of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace). The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, took Ibrahim and kissed him and smelled him and later we entered Abu Sayf's house and at that time Ibrahim was in his last breadths, and the eyes of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, started shedding tears. Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf said, "O Allah's Messenger, even you are weeping!" He said, "O Ibn Awf, this is mercy." Then he wept more and said, "The eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord, O Ibrahim! Indeed we are grieved by your separation."

May Allah make our hearts tender and merciful to one another. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

At-Tabarani recorded from `Abdullah bin Hisn Abi Madinah that he said, "Whenever two men from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah used to meet, they would not part until one of them had recited Surat Al-`Asr in its entirety to the other, and one of them had given the greetings of peace to the other.'' Ash-Shafi`i said, "If the people were to ponder on this Surah, it would be sufficient for them."

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
When the servant marries, then he has completed half of the deen. Then let him fear Allah (Taqwa) with regard to the remaining half.

This is why the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, advised the men:
A woman is married for four reasons: for her property, her status, her beauty and her religion; so try to get the pious one that you may be successful.

Having a pious spouse is a great blessing. How much ache one is saved from if one has a pious spouse?

Allah Almighty says,

...They are garments for you and you are the same for them...
[Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:187]

Just as a garment covers and protects a person, so too does the husband or wife protect his or her companion--by providing security, helping to keep the eyes restrained and protect private parts (from illicit sex), covering each other's mistakes, and shielding them, not only from worldly harm, but more importantly, the Hellfire. Just like the closeness there is between the garment and a person's skin: nothing separates them and nothing should come between them.

If you are not married, don't be sad. Be content with it. Realize that what Allah has chosen for you is the best for you and you are missing out on something that maybe good for you.

Do not let the whispers of the shaytan lead you astray. Accept Allah's decree and thank Him for His blessings. Ponder the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon you and keep yourself busy with worship of Allah. Read the Qur'an and ponder on its meanings. Always comfort yourself with the words of the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace,
How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.
[Muslim]

Be kind to yourself, and remember that there are millions of women who are not married. Perhaps if you saw the wife who has a hard-hearted husband who shows no compassion, and you heard her complaints about her continual suffering, you would praise Allah for saving you from marriage. Perhaps if you sit with a divorced woman who regrets having married, and listen to her complaints about how much she had put up with her ex and how much she suffered until she got her divorce, and finally regained her sense of security, perhaps you will praise Allah for not giving you a husband and put you in a mess that she did. If you sit with a struggling single mother, chasing after her little kids while trying to work, perhaps you will never want to get married.

Allah Almighty says,

...Perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good.
[Qur'an al-Nisa’ 4:19]

Allah says,

and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.
[Qur'an [al-Baqarah 2:216]

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said, I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) one day and he said:
O Boy, I shall teach you some words. Be mindful Allah and He will take care of you. Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. If you ask then ask of Allah, and if you seek help then seek help from Allah. Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you in some way, they would not benefit you except in something that Allah has decreed for you, and if they were to gather together to harm you in some way, they would not harm you except in something that Allah has decreed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”
[al-Tirmidhi]

May Allah grant us righteous family. Ameen. Please keep us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

What Is In The Names?

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Allah has many Names through which we know Him. Things are elevated through their names and if something is given many names, it shows that this matter is extremely exalted and also it gives you different angles to look and understand this named being.

We interact with Allah through His Divine eminence and through His closeness. His Names and Attributes are what govern everything in this universe. Knowing Allah in His creation is to know Allah in every moment and in every manifestation.

This knowledge of Allah is why we are here. It is why Allah sent an angel to breathe the soul of life into each and everyone of us. Allah sent an angel to the wombs of our mothers when we were 4 months into our conception and breathed into it a spirit of life. The spirit that was breathed into us is a secret of Allah and His creation.

Allah says,

And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little."
[Qur'an Al-Isra 17:85]

The soul which is a tremendous mystery of the mysteries of the universe. The soul which can be elevated to the ranks to be truly dear to Allah, was only created to worship Allah.

Narrated by Ibn Abbas: "Worshiping Allah means knowing Allah."

So the only spirit within our bodies is only here so that we might know Allah and we know Him through His Names.

And those who don't know Him and those who don't remember Him have only miseries because they have turned away from that very reason they are walking on this earth.

Allah says,

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind." (124) He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?" (125)
[Qur'an 20:124-125]

Those who are distant, absent, don't know him, don't recognize Him, are miserable and their lives are extremely constricted just like their souls are constricted.

O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my tongue, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light behind me, light in front of me, light on my right, light on my left, light above me and light below me; place light in my sinew, in my flesh, in my blood, in my hair and in my skin; place light in my soul and make light abundant for me; make me light and grant me light.

Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Remember The Terminator Of Pleasures

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Everybody know that they are going to die one day. We are certain about death but many of us deal with it as if it is something doubtful. How much are we preparing for death? Many don't prepare for it and if they do prepare for it, they prepare the aspect of death that is in this life. They prepare for their places of burial, their funeral ceremony and tombstone but nothing for the life of the Hereafter.

Allah says,

Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.
[Qur'an al-Ankabut 29:57]

But why many many people don't behave like they are going to die? It is not so much of ignorance but lack of or insufficient iman. Their hearts are not attached to the Creator. Their hearts are attached to this world. Their desires of this world run high. They do haram (prohibitions) left and right, and some don't mind showing their haram deeds in public. Some try to justify their haram deeds.

We have to work on our iman now because our term in this life is fixed. It will not change. There isn't much time. It can be next month, next week, tomorrow or next second. When we die, that's said. We are counted as the inhabitants on the other side and it is too late to repent or do any good deed.

Allah says,

It is not given to any soul to die, save by the leave of God, at an appointed time. Whoso desires the reward of this world, We will give him of this; and whoso desires the reward of the other world, We will give him of that; and We will recompense the thankful.
[Qur'an AleImran 3:145]

We cannot try to run away from death. Death will come unannounce and will happen wherever Allah decides.

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?
[Qur'an An-Nisa 4:78]

We need to talk about death frequently and remind each other about it to keep the awareness of the life of the Hereafter. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

Remember the terminator of all pleasures i.e. death.
[Tirmidhi]

The heart is tough and rough and what soften this tough and rough heart is if we remember and live for the Hereafter.

On the authority of Anas who said,
The Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave us a sermon, the like of which we had never heard before. "If you knew what I know you would laugh little and weep much!" Thereupon the Companions of the Prophet (saw) covered their faces, weeping and sniffing
[Bukhari and Muslim]

"When ‘Uthmân ibn 'Affan stood at a grave he would weep until his beard was wet. So it was said to him: "Indeed you make mention of Paradise and Hellfire and you do not weep, and you are weeping at this?". He replied, "Indeed the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "Verily the grave is the first abode of the Hereafter, if one is saved from it then what follows is made easier for him. And if one is not saved from it, then what follows is more severe". He also (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "I have never seen a sight more horrid than the grave"" (at-Tirmidhî, Ibn Mâjah)

We ask Allah to guide us and forgive all our sins. We ask Allah to save us from the punishment of the grave and the Hellfire. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.

Every Soul Shall Taste Death

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Allah tries us both with well being and adversity: in the one we should show humility and kindness; and in the other patience and faith. Often, people get puffed up in well being and depressed in adversity, putting false values on this world.

Allah provides for everyone, but people complain if they are straitened, or if what they have is different from that given to other people. Perchance his mind is so absorbed in what he sees, that he doubts the vast Realities he does not see. The present makes him blind to the past and the future.

When we have plenty, do we think of the struggling poor and the needy. Too many people are swept away in this fleeting world, forgetting and ignoring the poor and the needy. We choke up the spring of charity and kindness to others.

Whether we failed to respect the rights of the poor and the needy or actually suppressed those rights in our mad love for the things of this life, we will have to answer in the realm of Reality. This world, which we imagine to be so real, will crumble to powder before the Haqq, the One Who truly exists, manifested Glory. Then we shall remember, and wish, too late, that we had repented.

Allah says,

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. (185) You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination. (186)
[Qur'an AleImran 3:185-186]

May Allah guide us and make our hearts merciful. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
