Beware of Shaytan's Tricks

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

When it comes to making people slip, no one can be more devious than shaytan. The proof is that he made Adam (peace be upon him) and Hawa slip in Jannah.

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."  [Quran, Al Baqarah 2:36]

O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe. [Quran, Al Araf 7:20]

Always seek Allah’s protection from shaytan and beware of his traps. He tries to take us to evil and shamelessness, step by step. Perhaps it took him a long time, may be several years, to mislead Adam.

Shaytan is our biggest, worst, and most dangerous and experienced enemy. Therefore, we should never rely on our intelligence, planning, or worship alone. The most important and the ultimate solution is to seek refuge in Allah. Only Allah can protect us from shaytan’s traps.

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. [Quran, Al Baqarah 2;37]

Whenever we hear Allah’s attributes in whatever context, interact immediately. Here Allah is telling us that He accepted the repentance of Adam. Ask for Allah’s forgiveness right now.

Seek the kindness of Allah. Allah himself taught Adam how to repent. In fact, Allah taught Adam everything. Are we ready to learn while Allah is ready to teach us?

May Allah protect us from the whispers and tricks of shaytan. Aameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.

Wassalaam
