بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that Ramadhan is full of blessings for you and your families.
Somebody whose hearing, seeing, hand and foot are with Allah is not a normal person. His life is not a normal life. He might have difficulties, might have tests, might have lost his loved ones, might not have much to speak of, but he is content and pleased with Allah. This is a life of a strong person.
This is a tremendous goal--for Allah to love us. But it means practicing Islam. First you do the obligatory acts of worship, then increase with recommended acts of worship. This will lead to Allah loves you and when Allah is completely with you in everything.
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: Allah (Mighty and Sublime be He) said:
Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. (related by al-Bukhari)
'O soul at peace, Return to your Lord, well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (unto Him)! Enter you, then, among My (honored) slaves, And enter you My Paradise!' Qur'an al-Fajr 89:27-30
May Allah grant us righteous deeds so He loves us. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.
And Allah knows best.
wassalaam

Contentment
BismillahirRahmanirRahim
Assalaamu alaykum
I pray that you are well.
Allah is all Thankful and all Knowing. He will reward you for your good deeds. He is the only One who can reward you in the Hereafter. He knows your deeds, whether you remember them or not. He remembers your deeds better than you do, and He preserves them and He will let you see them in the Day of Judgment--even the banana peel that you had picked up from an aisle of a supermarket which prevented an old man from stepping on it and slipped. All you need to do is be thankful to Him and have iman. Don't look at the hands that move but look at the Power behind the movement, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, and be thankful that you have your hands. Use them for what they are created for--to worship Him--this is gratitude, being thankful. Same with your other body parts--don't misuse them--for this is ingratitude, being not thankful.
"Why should Allah punish you if you are thankful and believe? Allah is All-Thankful, All-Knowing." Qur'an Annisa 4:147
If you truly understand this, it will guide you to sincerity (ikhlas). You won't feel a need to show off your good deeds. Why would you want to show your good deeds to His creation, those who know but cannot compensate you in your next life. If you truly understand this, it will drive you towards hope and protect you against despair. You will enter into the world of contentment. InshaAllah.
"Upon that day none shall chastise as He chastises, none shall bind as He binds. 'O soul at peace, return unto thy Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing! Enter thou among My servants! Enter thou My Paradise!' Qur'an Al-Fajr 89:25-30
May Allah make us among those who are content and well-pleased and well-pleasing with Him. Ameen.
And Allah knows best.
