Are We Giving Surah Al Fatihah Its Due Honor?

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says in Surah Al-Hijr,

“And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur’an’’. (Quran, Al-Hijr 15:87)

This life is full of challenges and struggles and this Surah teaches us how to rely only on Allah and to never lose hope from the mercy of Allah.

Surah Al-Fatihah is a complete Du'a, a guidance to mankind. It is a beautiful conversation between you and Allah. It will help you get the best of both the worlds, insha Allah. If we only understand the wisdom behind the blessed and profound verses of this Surah it will only leave us amazed and full of gratitude. It teaches us about Tawheed and methodology of life.

The Qur’an opens with Surah Al Fatihah, it is the key to success but are we giving its due honor? We read it at least 17 times a day in our obligatory prayers and more in our voluntary prayers. Because we read it so often, we go almost on an autopilot mode without pondering or understanding what we are reciting. This autopilot recitation would surely lessen the effects it should leave in our lives.

May Allah guide us and shower us with His Mercy. Aameen

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.

Who Are The Servants of the Most Merciful Allah?

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is the Most Merciful. Who are the servants of the Most Merciful? Allah tells us in Surah Al Furqan of the Quran.

And the servants of the Most Merciful are those,

1) who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
2) who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
3) who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
4) who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate 5) who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse.
6) who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
7) who do not testify to falsehood,
8) who, when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.
9) who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.
10) who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."

Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

Let's Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday) -- Difference Between Arabic and Quran

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Hari Jumaat adalah special day untuk Muslim. Ini adalah big blessing untuk kita. Alhamdulillah.

O you who wraps himself [in clothing], (1) Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little - (2) Half of it - or subtract from it a little (3) Or add to it, and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation. (4) [Quran, Al Muzzammil 29:1-4]

And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. [Quran, Al Furqan 25:32]

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.

Day of 'Ashura, Fasting and Forgiveness of Sins

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

The 10th day of Muharram is called the Day of 'Ashura. It is recommended to fast on this day and the 9th or the 10th.

When the Prophet migrated to Madīnah he noticed that the Jews living there used to fast on this day and celebrate. Upon asking them why, they responded that this was the day when Allah saved Prophet Musa and his followers from Firʿawn by splitting the Red Sea for them and drowning the oppressive Egyptian army. They also noted that Prophet Musa himself fasted on this day as a sign of thanks to Allah. Upon hearing this, the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam responded, “We are closer to Musa than you are”, indicating that Musims should also be fasting on this day. The Prophet then ordered his followers to fast on the day of ʿĀshura as well.

Then, when the month of Ramadan was prescribed for fasting, the obligation for the day of ʿAshura was reduced to a recommendation. Some Companions chose not to fast on this day since the Prophet had given them the choice, but he himself continued to fast every year. In fact, ʿAbdullah ibn ʿAbbās related that he had never seen the Prophet so keen on fasting any other day than the day of ʿAshura. The Messenger of Allah emphasized fasting on this day to such an extent that he once said, “I hope that Allah would forgive the sins of the previous year for the one who fasts on the day of ʿAshura.”

May Allah accept your fasting. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.

Bertemanlah Dengan Quran

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Bagaimana nak jadi teman Quran?

Permulaannya ialah dengan membacanya. Kalau kita tak cinta Quran, maka tak kan nak selalu bersamanya di dunia ini.😢

Bila bacaan tak lancar, kita pun tak seronok nak baca. Kalau bacaan lancar kita pun seronok membaca Quran.

Sebab tu kita patut hafal Quran. Hafal sikit2 tiap hari walaupun 1 baris. Jangan malas atau sibuk dengsn dunia ni sentiasa.
Sekurangnya bacalah satu juz sehari. Tak banyak dan tak lama. Allah berkati masa inshaa Allah.
🌹🌹🌹

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.
