Let's Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday) -- Seek Righteous Companions

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

One powerful lesson from Surah Al-Kahf is the importance of seeking righteous companionship.
In Ayah 28, Allah commands, “And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And do not turn your eyes away from them desiring the adornments of worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his own desire and whose affair is ever in neglect." (Surah Kahf 18:28)

This Ayah teaches that surrounding ourselves with righteous companions who remember Allah and strive for the Hereafter is necessary to maintain our faith. It warns against prioritizing worldly status over true companionship based on piety.

The influence of friends and social circles can shape our beliefs, values, and priorities. Seeking good company helps strengthen our faith, while heedless companions can lead us away from Allah’s remembrance.

Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance. Aameen.

Living with Adab Daily

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Living with Adab Daily

Adab refers to the refined manners and ethical conduct derived from the Quran and Sunnah. It encompasses behavior towards Allah, oneself, others, and the environment. It is the foundation upon which faith is built and the means through which a believer attains closeness to Allah. Practicing adab is a lifelong commitment that requires consistency, self-awareness, and a genuine desire to improve. It is not about perfection but about striving for excellence in character and conduct. The Quran reminds us,
“So race to [all that is] good”(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:148).

What The Quran Will Do To You -- Give Confidence

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The more you study the Quran, the stronger your confidence becomes. You no longer worry about what others think of you, as your focus shifts to pleasing Allah and staying true to His guidance. Many people spend their entire lives consumed by the opinions of others, yet those opinions may not always align with the truth. Instead, trust in the convictions shaped by your faith and the wisdom of the Quran, and let that guide your actions.

"Those who convey the messages of Allah and fear Him and do not fear anyone but Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant."

(Quran, Al-Ahzab 33:39)

This Ayah reminds us to prioritize Allah's guidance over the opinions of others, finding confidence in fulfilling His commands and seeking His pleasure above all else.

Reliance on Allah During Trials

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

When you complain to people, we are burdening people with our emotions. The best thing is to hand it over to Allah, following Prophet Ya’qub, the father of Prophet Yusuf (peace upon them). "He said, 'I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.'" (Quran, Yusuf, 12:86)

This ayah reflects Prophet Ya'qub's deep faith and reliance on Allah during his trials, particularly when he grieved the loss of his son. It serves as a reminder to turn to Allah in moments of distress and to place trust in His wisdom and plan.

Let’s Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday)--Faith & Reliance on Allah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The story of the Youth of the Cave in Surah Al-Kahf is a powerful testament to faith and reliance on Allah.Choosing to flee persecution, they sought refuge in a cave and handed over their affairs entirely to Allah, saying, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance" (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:10). In response, Allah miraculously protected them by putting them into a deep sleep for more than 300 years, preserving their faith and safeguarding them from harm. Their unwavering trust in Allah reminds us that when we sincerely place our reliance on Him, He provides solutions beyond our imagination and protects us in ways we cannot foresee.
