Taqwa of Allah: Respecting and Protecting the Womb

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

The real way you have taqwa of Allah (Godfearingness, righteousness) is when you have cautious of the womb.

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer. (1)

[Qur'an, An-Nisa' 4:1]

We are to forever dignify and respect the womb, i.e. the mother. Ultimately, all relationships is a by-product of the womb. We are related to our siblings through the womb of the mother. Husband and wife share the relationship of the womb and through them coming together, a child is born.

The basic unit of society is the family and the foundation of society is the womb of the mother. That relationship is to be respected first and foremost in the highest of form.

The connection of the mother is the connection of humanity. So be cautious of the womb.

We depend on our mothers when we were little but when you get older, you get more and more separated from your mother. You don't see eye to eye with her anymore. Even when you feel free from her, you are not free. Don't think you have a free rein. Allah has your neck. Allah should be feared. He is watchful over everyone, always.

May Allah grant us taqwa and increase us in taqwa and help us protect the wombs and enable us to give due respect to the wombs and strengthen our bonds of kinship. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and is Most Wise, and He alone grants success, and to Him is the final return of all.

Wassalaam
