Let’s Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday): Trusting Allah’s Wisdom When Life Doesn’t Make Sense

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Let’s Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday):
Trusting Allah’s Wisdom When Life Doesn’t Make Sense

Even though Allah spoke directly to Musa (ʿalayhi as-salām), Allah still told him to seek knowledge from someone else—someone He called “My servant.”

This reminds us that no matter how knowledgeable or experienced we are, we will always need teachers.

Some lessons simply cannot be learned from books; they only come through real-life events and tests. Musa had knowledge of revelation, while Khidr had a different kind of knowledge—knowledge of realities and hidden wisdoms that only Allah reveals.

What Khidr did seemed confusing and even illogical on the surface, and that’s the point: unless we know Allah’s full plan, we can’t always understand the wisdom behind difficult or painful moments.

Sometimes you do good and see no reward, like the rebuilding of the wall. Sometimes people hurt you even when you’ve done nothing wrong. Sometimes you show kindness, and they respond with harm—to you or to someone else.

These are the moments when your patience and trust in Allah are truly tested.

The story teaches us humility, patience, and the understanding that Allah’s wisdom is far greater than what we can see.

May Allah give us the Faith to know that there is something good behind the horizon and grant us patience. Aameen.
