The Gift of Iman (Faith), Don’t Take It for Granted
Faith is the greatest blessing we have, but most of us don’t realize its value until the end of our lives.
In those final moments, a believer is shown their place in Paradise and actually looks forward to meeting Allah and receive the divine hospitality from the greatest of Hosts.
This is the meaning of the Prophet’s saying: “Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him.”
At death, Allah welcomes the believer with mercy, forgiveness, and kindness. Anyone who has seen a believer pass away can feel the calm and peace that surrounds them—something very different from those who leave this world without faith.
In the end, what truly matters is the state of our heart when our soul leaves our body. We die the way we lived. Our priorities, our choices, and the things we remember Allah with all shape that final moment.
We have the opportunity while we’re still alive to make our priorities right. Anything we do sincerely for Allah is blessed, and anything we give up for His sake is replaced with something better.
Real success—both in this life and the next—belongs to those who stay mindful of Allah, follow His guidance, and avoid His prohibitions.
