Think Before You Speak
Talking without knowing the truth can cause a lot of harm. Islam teaches us to be careful with our words because once they’re spoken, they can’t be taken back.
Allah ﷻ says:
“And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Surely the hearing, the sight, and the heart—each of these will be questioned.” (Surah Al-Isra, 17:36)
The Prophet ﷺ also warned, “It is enough for a person to be considered a liar if he repeats everything he hears.” (Muslim) This means we should avoid guessing, spreading rumors, or giving opinions about things we don’t truly understand. It’s always better to stay quiet than to speak wrongly.
