Journey Of Life

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

This place, people called earth, is like a jail, a huge jail. You can move around but you have to stay within the boundaries. Even though you can eat, drink, get married, have children, have friends, but you can't do everything you want.

This is what people called "life". Some people have more freedom than others. Some life is good and some life is bad depending on how you look at it.

This life is a journey, a journey that is going to end one day and usually people don't know when it ends. But it will become a reality to each and everyone of us one day. You will get out of this jail, whether you like it or not. If you love this jail, you are in serious trouble. What do you have to show for to the outside world if you get out today?

Well, we cannot live this life without love. Whether we love ourselves, someone else or something else (money, prestige, fame, status, etc), we have to love something. Love only Allah Almighty and you will have a lot to show for when you have completed your time in this jail.

And if you love Allah, you should love His Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, and follow him. He illuminates the path to Allah and we should strive to follow him or we will go astray.

It is difficult to love someone when you don't know the person. Seeking knowledge is key to know Allah and His Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, and being with those who live by the Qur'an's morals will help you practice what you know.

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّـهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّـهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿٣١

Say: 'If you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you, and forgive you your sins; Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.'

[Qur'an AleImran 3:31]

It was related in Bukhari that a man came up to the Prophet,Allah bless him and grant him peace, and asked: “What do you say of a man who loves a certain group of people but cannot be of them?”

To this the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, replied: “A person will be with whom he loves.”

May Allah increase us in our love for His beloved, Allah bless him and grant him peace. Ameen.
