Only with Imam (faith) that we can bear all our difficulties in life. Lack of iman, eternal abode is not the Garden. Because it is so precious there is somebody out there who wants to steal it from us. It is Shaytan. (We seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytan and evil.) But Allah, out of His mercy, sent us protective spheres to protect our Iman.
The first layer is the obligatory acts, like the five pillars of Islam (prayer, zakat/charity, fasting, performing hajj)
The second layer is the sunnah of the Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wassallam), like voluntary prayers throughout the day and night, fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, etc.
The third layer is the propriety acts, like being in wudu' constantly, observe our manners and points of etiquette, cover our nakedness even when alone and use miswak in wudu.
If any of this layer is absent then Shaytan can go right to your Iman. If they are present but not strong or secured properly, i.e. not done excellently and with sincerity, then sooner or later Shaytan will be able to penetrate it, like the enemy army shelling a fort which is flimsy or not thick enough.
So, increase our worship of Allah with sincerity and excellence so our Iman is fully protected and when we meet our Lord we are at the highest Iman, inshaAllah. May Allah protect our Iman and grant us all His Mercy.
Allah says: "Say (Muhammad, peace be upon him): If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Qur'an aleImran 3:31
