Who is better?

The only way we can know whether or not we are better than other people if we know how we will end our lives and how they will end their lives. But we don't know these things. Only Allah knows. So there is no room for pride in our lives.

Make sure when we do something righteous, we do it sincerely for Allah and no private spheres. We can't fool Allah.

Allah facilitates the way to do good and Allah lead astray the evil doers. If someone turns away from Allah the first time, they will feel guilty, the second time they will feel easier and much easier the third time until it becomes a habit. Their conscience dies for Allah puts a seal in their hearts.

"God confirms those who believe with the firm word, in the present life and in the world to come; and God leads astray the evildoers; and God does what He will." Qur'an Ibrahim 14:27

"because they have preferred the present life over the world to come, and that God guides not the people of the unbelievers. Those -- God has set a seal on their hearts, and their hearing, and their eyes, and those -- they are the heedless ones." Qur'an An-Nahl 16:108

"As for him who gives and is god fearing, and confirms the reward most fair, We shall surely ease him to the Easing. But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, and cries lies to the reward most fair, We shall surely ease him to the Hardship." Qur'an Al-Lail 92:5-10

"Indeed Shaytan to man is a clear enemy" (Qur'an surah Yusuf). Shaytan will use all his ploys to distract us from the One and give us false security. So treat Shaytan like an enemy.

"O believers, fear God as He should be feared, and see you do not die, save in surrender." Qur'an AleImran 3:102.

May Allah help us guard His precious gift to us--our Iman.
