Blessing of Eloquence

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Speech is the most effective means of conveying what is in my mind into your mind. That's why Allah reminds us the blessing of intelligent speech in the Qur'an.

The Most Merciful (1) Taught the Qur'an, (2) Created man, (3) [And] taught him eloquence. (4)

Were we not able to speak intelligently we would have a very difficult time communicating with the person next to us. Imagine you want to say to the person, "the sky is blue" but it couldn't come out the way you want, instead what come out are some words of jumbo mumbo. Nobody can understand you. So intelligent speech is a tremendous blessing from Allah that we should be grateful. Even the simplest form of speech is difficult without Allah's generosity. So, remember the One who gave you speech and only use this blessing to worship the One who taught you eloquence.

May Allah bless us with goodly speech and eloquence. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
