Importance of Trust in Relationship

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Trust is an important component in a healthy relationship. It may be the most vital ingredient to a successful relationship. If your relationship lacks trust, it's hard to get close to the other person and to rely on him or her for support.

Likewise, you won't be able to get close to Allah if you don't have trust in Him. How then can you rely on Allah if you don't trust Him?

Allah has many Names. He Alone owns the most beautiful of Names. Each of them has its own benefits but what ties His Names together is trust. No matter which Name we call Him, trust is a common thread in the relationship between us and Allah.

For example,

When we call on Al-Rahman, we are calling on Allah's mercy. We trust His mercy will come when needed, we trust that His mercy will come in full amount, ...

When we call on Al-'Aleem, we are calling on the Knower of all. We trust what He knows, what He wants us to know, what He doesn't want us to know, ...

When we call on Al-Hakim, we are calling on the Perfectly Wise. We trust His wisdom.

When we call upon Al-Khaaliq, we are calling the Creator. We trust why He created us, why He created us the way we are, why He did not make us taller or shorter, why He created us a different ethnicity...

When we call upon Al-Wadud, we are calling on the Loving One. We trust that He is truly forgiving, all-embracing in His love.

When we call upon Al-Razzaq, we are calling on the the Sustainer of all the worlds. We trust that He will provided for us sustenance out of the good things of life

When we call on Al-Tawwab, we are calling on the Guide to Repentance. We trust that He will accept our sincere repentance

Trust is something that needs to be developed and nurtured in any relationship. Trust in Allah is built through calling on His most beautiful Names. Trust will lead to respect and awe.
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ﴿٨

Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. (8)
[Qur'an, Ta-Ha 20:8]

So keep calling on His Names. We should try to call upon all His 99 Names once daily while reflecting on its meanings.

May Allah make us of those whose tongues are moist calling upon His Beautiful Names. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazak Allahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
