Bismillah
Revelation is of two types -- Quran and Sunnah
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, "By Allah I have been granted the Quran and the like of it."
Quran is guidance for the Godfearing. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
Alif, Lam, Meem. (1) This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - (2) (Quran, Al Baqarah 2:1-2)
Guidance is conditional upon the following of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
Allah subhanahu ta'ala says,
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (31) (Quran, Aale-Imran)
It is important to learn not only the Quran but also the Hadiths.
May Allah grant us the tawfiq to follow the footsteps of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and his righteous companions. Aameen.
