Bismillah
Why do people cry? It could fit in one of these general categories: sad, love, lust, hypocrisy, pain, hungry, overtired or overstimulated. And sometimes we cry because someone we care about is in pain.
When Aisha radhiAllahu anha , one of the wives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was slandered, it caused her so much pain. Her tears were not ceasing, her eyes were not adorned with sleep. While she was weeping, an Ansari woman asked for admittance to see her. Aisha allowed her to enter. When she came in, she sat down and cried with Aisha.
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala revealed her innocence in the Quran in Surah An-Noor
Indeed, those who came with falsehood are a group among you. Do not think it bad for you; rather it is good for you. For every person among them is what [punishment] he has earned from the sin, and he who took upon himself the greater portion thereof - for him is a great punishment. [Quran, An-Noor 24:11]
May Allah protect our mouths from ruins and grant us beautiful speech and qualities that are pleasing to Him. Aameen
And Allah knows best.
