One of the highlights of Friday for Muslims is reading Surah Al Kahf. In Surah Al Kahf, we are reminded of the many lessons we can derive from the stories in Surah Al Kahf and to take the guidance.
One of the lessons is in the story of Prophet Musa alayhissalaam and Al Khidr alayhissalaam about the importance of seeking knowledge. Prophet Musa alayhissalaam was the most knowledgeable person in his time but Allah told him to leave to travel to seek knowledge from a specific person, Al Khidr. This is an encouragement for us to seek knowledge.
No matter how knowledgeable you are, there is someone who is more knowledgeable than you, and ultimately Allah is the Most Knowledgeable. It doesn't matter how old or how young you are, you must continue seeking knowledge of the Deen. Seeking knowledge is not just for those who are able to study abroad. Seeking knowledge has been made easy with the technology and internet. So we have no excuse not to seek knowledge.
May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge.
رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.
