Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
We get something going the right way then something happen--the rug is pulled from under us. People never cease to disappoint us, giving us so much problems. Why so much problems? That could be Allah is showing His love to us. He wants to teach us something.
Only He is Perfect. This life never stays the same. This world always changing. The only thing that stay and last is our works for the sake of Allah. Seize the moment because the moment is the stage on which act is performed. Seize opportunities with good works, not things. "Take advantage of five matters before five other matters: your youth, before you become old; and your health, before you fall sick; and your richness, before you become poor; and your free time before you become busy; and your life, before your death."
People who disappoint you today, tomorrow they can be your best allies or your best friends. Turn to Him, the One who alters things and changes heart. Be patient.
May Allah guide our loved ones and makes us among the patient. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. JazakAllahu khairan.

In Preparation For The Blessed Month Of Ramadhan
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
In preparation for the blessed of Ramadhan, I would like to share with you an address from one of my respected teachers (may Allah forgive and preserve them all.) Hope it is of benefit to you and your family. At the same time, I seek your forgiveness for all my shortcomings and if I have wronged you in any way. Jazakum Allahu khairan. Wassalaam.

Praise is for Allah, Lord of the Worlds
May Allah bless and grant peace to our liegelord Muhammad as well as his folk and companions
Dear brothers and sisters from the nation of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),
As we wait in eager anticipation of the noble guest who approaches, the blessed month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed, we undoubtedly are making physical and spiritual preparations therefore.
Among the preparations that the scholars of Islam have encouraged is preparing our hearts for Allah's gaze. Baihaqi relates, “When it is the first night of the month of Ramadan, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, gazes to them and the one to whom Allah looks, He does not punish him, ever.” The place to which Allah looks is the heart. So what will Allah see in your and my heart if He were to look to us on the first night of Ramadan?
One of the qualities that would prevent us from this blessed gaze (and from many other opportunities for forgiveness) is malice. The Prophet, May Allah bless him and grant him peace, taught us of the Night of Power and the Half Night of Sha’ban that those who harbor rancor, mistreat parents, severe bonds of kinship or drink are prevented from Allah’s merciful gaze. Do we want Allah to look to His servants on the first night of Ramadan and overlook us because we are bearing ill will against each other? Is whatever anyone has done to hurt us so important that we can not overlook it in exchange for an opportunity for eternal salvation from Allah's punishment? What about all of those whom we have wronged? Do we not need Allah's pardon as well as theirs?
We can purify our hearts in preparation for this gaze from our Merciful, Forgiving Lord and also expose ourselves to an opportunity for His pardon when we need it most, by pardoning His servants. Allah said, "The one who pardons and reconciles his reward is upon Allah;" Quran (42:40). Tabarani relates that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "A caller will call [on the Day of Rising], ‘Let him stand whose reward is upon Allah and let him enter paradise’ Then he will call a second time, ‘Let him stand whose reward is upon Allah and let him enter paradise’ It will be said, ‘Who is the one whose reward is upon Allah, Mighty and Majestic?’ He will say, ‘Those who pardon people.’ Then he will call a third time, ‘Let him stand whose reward is upon Allah and let him enter paradise.’ Then so and so many thousand will stand and enter paradise without reckoning." Imagine being among that fortunate group and having all of our many sins forgiven and receiving our reward directly from Allah!
In preparation for the blessed first night of Ramadan, Insha'Allah, and that day in which each of us will meet Allah, let us pardon one another and all of Allah's servants. I will begin with my own sinful self. O Allah, if any of Your slaves have transgressed the rights You have prescribed to me, they are excused. I ask you to grant them and me Paradise, and that You make us among its dwellers whom You have described in Your saying, "We have removed what was in their breasts of rancor, brethren on couches facing one another;" Quran (15:47). I also ask anyone who I have wronged to seek their due from me and to forgive me.
“Our Lord forgives us and our brethren who preceded us in faith and do no place in our hearts ill will towards those who believe. Our Lord, indeed you are compassionate and merciful.” Quran (54:10)
And Allah alone grants tawfiq (success),

Total Submission
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
Our life is all about submission to our Creator. It is about being close to Allah. It is a tremendous goal of our lives to want to be close to Allah. Who else do you really have other than our Creator. He knows us inside out like no other can. He takes care of us like no other can. In the end we are going back to Him alone with no one. So why is He not our only goal in this life?
We are expected to submit to Allah's commands whether we know the "goodness" of the command or not. It is not acceptable for people to violate what Allah wants from us. Violating Allah's instructions is violating His purpose of creating us--i.e. to worship Him alone.
Violating Allah's commands has dreadful consequences. There are many warnings and examples in the Qur'an. Look at what happened to the people of Sabbath who were turned into monkeys.
"So when they forgot the remindings that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil, but We seized those who did wrong with a severe torment because they used to rebel against Allah's command (disobey Allah). So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected." Qur'an Al-Araf 7:165
When we turned away from revelation and we take ourselves as source of right and wrong, then everything become corrupt.
The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked about what is righteousness and he, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Righteousness is what the soul finds peace in and what the heart finds peace in. Sin is what stirs in the soul and goes to and fro in the breast even if the people pronounce is okay."
Obviously, this is not for everyone. This is for someone who is fully aligned with the words of Allah. Someone who is fully aligned with Divine law, his heart is his guide. If your heart is not at peace, you realigned yourself with the words of Allah, through submission to Divine law, not twisting the revelation to suit you. You changed what and how you think and do to fit the revelation. When you do this you are like a plant placed in the garden after being locked up in a closet without sunlight. Everything is now flourishing again. Now you are a being with a functioning conscience. All your faculties are in place.
If we are not learned, we really don't know know whether our feelings are right or wrong until we ask the scholars. So knowledge of our religion is the first step to know what Allah wants from us.
May Allah guide us. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

Man and woman
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
Man are man and woman are woman. The best among us are the ones who have taqwa. We are creations of Allah--Allah does not discriminate. We complement each other and we need each other. Man cannot be woman and woman cannot be man. Manliness in man and femininity in woman is self respect and to imitate the other gender is having no self respect. Manliness too is not yelling, screaming, beating, raising your manly voice, scaring your woman--on the contrary you should be very gentle with them. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, would not even raise his voice in the marketplace.
Just because Hawwa was created from Adam's ribs this does not mean woman is inferior than man. Rather, it shows that woman is your partner working side by side just as the ribs are on your side. Now just because ribs are bent, that doesn't mean woman are crooked (evil)--can you imagine if Allah created your ribs straight? It will be very painful for you to be walking around with bones sticking out your flesh. And if you try to straighten your ribs, it will break. So be very gentle with your ribs and don't ignore your ribs because you do need your ribs otherwise you will have no shape like the amoeba. This is a brilliant analogy I heard from a wise man a while back (I added the "amoeba" part). MashaAllah.
And to woman, to continue the analogy--you are neither above man nor below man. You are there not to tell them what to do--there are things best leave them up to them even if you think you are right. For example, if you see your husband driving a certain way that you don't like, tell yourself that he has been driving all these years to work without you and he came home safe. So, save the argument in the car--leave him alone, he might not listen to you anyway. You are there to protect his vital organ--the heart. And your femininity is not for public enjoyment. Don't show your adornments in public--it is for yourself and the heart of your man. And don't behave too feminine in public as well--like acting shy (giggling and so on) in such a way that it unnecessarily attract attention. Woman/girls should be direct and clear in public so not to attract attention.
