An Intimate Discourse

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

In every situation in our life, whether it is a success or failure, an ease or a hardship, happiness or grief, have or have not, there is a test in it for us. It is a means to draw near to Allah or farther away from Allah.

One's life might be easy right now or one might find success but forget that his success is from Allah alone and that he has nothing to do with it. And he might become ungrateful to Allah and arrogant. The one who faces a disaster in his life might despair and become self-destruct from his words or actions.

Allah has built into our life a place for comfort, a haven, where we can go to many times a day--the prescribed and supererogatory prayers, and in each cycle, a du'a--Surah Al-Fatiha, a powerful discourse between a slave and the Lord. So one should learn how to recite this surah properly in Arabic and know the meaning to have a meaningful discourse.

So, no matter what circumstance we are in right now, we always remember Allah. He is the Lord of the Worlds, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, Master of the Day of Doom. He alone we serve and seek help from. We ask Him to guide us, to guide us in the straight path, the path of those who He has blessed and favored (the Prophets, the awliya' and the righteous people and the matyrs) and not those who earn His wrath nor those who go astray.

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being,
the All-merciful, the All-compassionate,
the Master of the Day of Doom.
Thee only we serve; to Thee alone we pray for succour.
Guide us in the straight path,
the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray.
(Qur'an Al-Fatiha 1)

Ameen

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. JazakAllahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
