Life Is A Test

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Difficulties, hardships and the worst things you might see are here for a wisdom. They are a part of this life and they only will get worse. If somebody get caught up in it, their job is to be steadfast and patient. If you are not caught up in it, you do what is in your ability to help improve the situation and wherever possible, be an agent of good.

But you don't accuse Allah. Allah does not need you to tell Him how to run the world. People think such and such evil person is running the world and the cause of misery of the Muslim world is because of so and so. No, Allah is running the world and has placed all of these things on this earth. It is part of a huge story. Your have to find your place in the story.

This life is a test and your job is to do what Allah has told you to do. Getting up in the morning for Fajr prayer and treating your parents with kindness might seem mundane compare to fixing the problems of the Muslim Ummah and the world in general but that is what Allah has asked you to do and He will ask you about that. He will not ask you why you didn't make the world a complete happy and serene place because it is beyond your capacity to do that. But praying and being good to our parents are not beyond the capacity of each and every one of us. What is on your shoulders is not what so and so didn't do but what is on your shoulders is what you didn't do.

The problem with many people is when they look at hardships, they don't look at them from a perspective of slavehood but they look at them from a perspective of arrogance. When they see evil people, they shake their heads and all of these things are a way to put themselves up. They are neglectful of what Allah has asked them to do. They are failing their tests because on the Day of Judgment what so and so did bad will not increase our works in the eyes of Allah. The things of the world will come. Everybody has a sphere of influence and responsibility and everybody has a job to do and our job is to figure out what they are and do that. We have to remember that Allah runs everything. As long as we do what Allah and His Messenger, Allah bless him and grant him peace, told us what to do and we remain steadfast holding the flag of Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, we will win.

The end times are times of difficulties and hardships. Wherever you go, there are difficulties and there will be tests. Your faith has to be unshakable. Your commitment to Islam need to be so strong that nothing can push it down. Difficulties will come and we need to be prepared. If there is a weakness there, then you need to fix yourself. You need to fix your dedication to the Message of Allah because you cannot fool Allah.

أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ ﴿٢﴾ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ﴿٣

Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? (2) But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. (3) [Qur'an Al-Ankabut 29:2-3]

Right now you don't have difficulties, so rush to good works. Be good to your parents, be good to your family, recite the Qur'an, do something nice to somebody else and learn religious knowledge. If you dedicate your life to Allah in times of ease, Allah will help you in times of difficulties.

May Allah protect us from the trials and tribulations of this life and the next. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.
