True Safety

I pray that you are well.

The true safety is following the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Abu Yazid Al Bistami had resolved to make a du'a to Allah to suffice him of all the lusts of his ego. He wished to be free from the burden of women. But then he said to himself the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, didn't ask it for himself, and so he left that du'a. Nevertheless, Abu Yazid's attitude to women was such that women and walls appeared the same to him. He said that he became someone who cannot differentiate between a woman facing him and a wall in front of him.

Allah sufficed him the lusts of his ego out of the barakah of following the Sunnah.

May Allah grant us tawfiq. Ameen.
