The Prayer (As-Salaat) Does Not Revolve Around Our Life

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

The prayer (As-Salaat) is of the greatest obligation in Islam.
إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ كَانَتۡ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ كِتَـٰبً۬ا مَّوۡقُوتً۬ا

...Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at appointed time.
" [Qur'an. An-Nisa 4:103]

It is an institution in a person's life. It is the pillar, the support and strength, in the person's life, and joy for those people who Allah blessed them in their prayers. Our life has to revolve around it. Like all the furniture in your home which have to go around the pillars of your home, all your schedules -- work, school, appointments, meetings, business, etc. have to go around the prayer. The prayer is fixed -- it does not revolve around our life.

Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient. (238)
[Qur'an, Al-Baqarah 2:238]

If the pillar is weak, your Islam is wobbly and will eventually collapse, because it is so easy for Shaytan to steal your Faith (Iman). Losing one's Iman is the ultimate loss for the person because if he remains in this state until he dies, there is no more hope for Paradise for him and he will abide in the Hellfire forever.

Each day we should strive to better our prayer and this can only be done through having the right knowledge and implementation of that knowledge. No matter how long/how much we have prayed, there is always a better prayer. Strive to make the current prayer better than the one before. If you are praying the same way as you have been for the past 20 years, or if you don't rush to prayer, or if you still find prayer more of a burden than a comfort to you, or if you are rushing to finish your prayer, you are not truly appreciating the gift of prayer and therefore you won't feel the benefit of your prayer.

The more prayer you do, the more taqwa (God-Fearing) you will get. The more taqwa you have the more guidance you are ready to receive. Through taqwa Allah will make access to guidance easier to you. People who have taqwa and guidance, Allah promised them life of ease in this life before the next.

Remember, Shaytan is dedicated to make sure we don't get guidance. Know his tricks to keep you away from your prayers.

May Allah grant us steadfastness and bless us in our prayers and increase us in taqwa. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
