Upon Five Pillars

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Islam is what takes us to Paradise and saves us from Hell.

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

Islam has been built on five pillars: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace) is the Messenger of Allah, perfecting the prayers, giving the obligatory alms (zakat), making the pilgrimage to the House (hajj), and fasting in Ramadhan. (related by Bukhari and Muslim)

If you have these five in your life, your religion is supported. It might be a small amount, or big amount, but if the five supports are there, it is going to stand strong. And if you don't have these five, your house is standing on something extremely wobbly. And if a big bad wolf was to come and go huff and puff, your house would blow over. When the house is blown over, where will you end up?

Allah says:

Then is one who laid the foundation of his building on righteousness [with fear] from Allah and [seeking] His approval better or one who laid the foundation of his building on the edge of a bank about to collapse, so it collapsed with him into the fire of Hell? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
(Qur'an At-Tawba 9:109)

So, whoever wants to end up in Paradise, he should look at the five supports. These are the most beloved acts to Allah Most High.

May Allah give us tawfiq. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
