بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
It's already Day 4 of Ramadhan. In many masjids that plan to finish recitation of the Quran (khatam) this month would have finished three juz of the Quran last night during taraweeh prayer. And those who aspire to finish recitation of the Quran at least once this Ramadhan on their own would have done the same. If you haven't held the Quran and read it this Ramadhan, try to do so today.
Quran is a great blessing from Allah, no doubt.
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - (2) [Quran, Al-Baqarah 2:2]
Without Allah's guidance, we will be lost. So we want to keep ourselves very closely connected to the Quran. Allah blessed us with Ramadhan where we can train ourselves to do that.
We thank Allah for the blessing of the Ramadhan and we thank Allah for the blessing of the Qur’an, which is still preserved in our time and is still easy for us to recite. As long as we still possess the Quran, Allah’s mercy is still extended to us.
The Qur’an will only remain with us as long as the people whose hearts and souls contain its secrets remain with us. When they depart, Allah will remove His Book. There will come a night in which Allah will remove it and people will wake up and not a single verse will remain, either written down or preserved in people’s hearts. This is one of the greatest signs of the Last Hour. A wind will then blow which will carry away the soul of anyone who has even an atom’s weight of faith in their heart. All goodness on the earth will be removed and only the worst of people will remain. Three generations of disbelievers will pass and not even one person will remain who says: ‘Allah.’ Then the appointed time will come. We seek refuge in Allah from that time.
May Allah make us His elect people of the Quran and enable us to benefit from His Book. Ameen.
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.
And Allah knows best and He alone grants success.
Wassalaam
