This Life Is Not The End

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم 

This life is part of your journey. It is not the end. Your own body will take you to that end. All this journey in life, wherever you think it's going, at the current moment in time you feel that you are determing its movements, that's only for a limited time. Then you go to your grave. 

 

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten. (51) They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." (52) It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us. (53) So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do. (54)  

[Quran, Ya-Sin 36:51]

 

Then when the Trumpet is blown, suddenly everything burst to life. Bodies will have a life of their own. They, from the graves, to their Lord, running. The body will be directing you because the end of your journey is actually then. 

 

Reflect on the ease of Allah, the One who directs the sun and the planet, of course He can direct your body to Him.

 

And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. (37) And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. (38) And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. (39) It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. (40) 

[Quran, Ya-Sin 36:37-40]

 

The bodies will be running from this open graves to the one person they dread to meet because He is the Rabb, the nurturing Lord, the One who takes you from stage to stage to His perfection. He nurtured you in the wombs of your mothers, He gave you food, then you came out, He produced milk in the breasts of your mother, He puts love in the heart of your mother. He took you all the way through. And if you spent your whole life denying that you owe Him anything, if you spent your whole life fighting the Messengers, in what face do you want to meet Him, except a face of shame? What will be the feeling after realizing that -- the Messengers and the Message?

 

What took place before that was just a mirage. Some people were wronged. Some people didn't get what they deserved. But that wasn't the end point. Just a momentary sojourn. The real end point is here.

 

May Allah make us of the muttaqeen and make our meeting with Him the best of meetings. Aameen.
