When we realized that Allah is the One Who created us and blessed us with countless blessings to help us enjoy our lives, then we get the internal powerful urge to love Him, to worship Him and to put our heads on the ground to glorify Him.
In fact Allah created us to worship Him,
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
[Quran, Adh-Dhariyat 51:56]
We are made up of body and soul. If we don't feed our souls properly, nothing will make us happy.
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are tranquil" [Quran, Ar-Ra'd 13:28]
To worship Allah is to obey Allah with love and humility, with your heart, tongue and body.
