The Quran cures hearts and delivers people from shirk and kufr (disbelief), low morals and spiritual ailments is no secret. And according to some scholars, the way the Quran is a cure for spiritual ailments, it is also a cure for physical diseases.
Allah Most High says,
We send down in the Quran that which is a cure and mercy for the faithful; and it increases the wrongdoers only in loss. [Quran, Al Isra’ 17:82]
O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
[Quran, At-Tawba 10:57]
When you are distressed, or while you are seeking medical treatment, or taking your medicines, don’t forget the Quran, and ask Allah to cure your ailments.
Develop a routine of reading the Quran everyday, at least a juz (20 pages). Start with an amount you can maintain for a week, then increase it until you can maintain reading 1 juz a day. The best time to read is in the early morning hours.
May Allah make the Quran our companion and cure for our physical and spiritual ailments. Aameen.
