In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
Be cautious of your Master. Enslave yourself to Allah sincerely, making your entire lifestyle for Him, not one part of your life is limited.
We have timeless reminder in the Qur'an. Allah Almighty says,
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:11-15]
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion. (11) And I have been commanded to be the first [among you] of the Muslims." (12) Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." (13) Say, "Allah [alone] do I worship, sincere to Him in my religion, (14) So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest loss." (15)
Only the people of sound mind will benefit from this reminder. And he is not someone who has big degrees or authored many books or won a nobel prize or have many popular youtube Islamic videos or TV shows about Islam, but someone who knows about the akhirah (Hereafter) and concern about his fate in the akhirah, yet hoping for Allah's mercy. Those are the people who excel in this world. They will have the very best and beautiful things.
People who know and people who don't know are not the same.
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:9]
Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding. (9)
God's earth is vast. You are not stuck with non-religious or anti-Shari'ah laws, Islamophobia, social milieu, to stop you from practicing His religion.
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:10]
Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward in full without measure." (10)
If you find getting to practice His religion difficult where you are, then, leave it. Go somewhere else. The earth of Allah is wide enough. Go and live at a place and in a surrounding that is conducive to remaining obedient to Divine commandments. You'll get ihsan (good).
Allah Almighty says,
[Qur'an, Ar-Rahman 55:41]
Is the reward for good [anything] but good? (60)
People who travel for the sake of Allah so they can worship Allah better, so they can leave oppression, so they can make hijrah for Allah, they need a lot of patience. It is not easy to leave their homes and all the support and comfort they were used to. Know that people of patience will only be given their compensation without any restrictions. The reward of those who endure ordeals will not be given to them under some pre-determined calculations or measures, instead, it will be without calculation, measure or reckoning, in a spirit of generosity at its most sublime as mentioned in a Hadith narration below:
Qatadah reports from Sayyidna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, 'On the Day of Judgment, a Scale of Justice will be set in place. When people who had given Sadaqah (charity) come forward, whatever they had given will be weighed, and they will be given their full reward against it. Similarly, the acts of worship such as Salah and Hajj will be weighed, and its reward would be duly given to those who had performed these. And when come those who had stood patient against trials and tribulations, for them, there will be no measure and weight, instead, their return and reward will be rolled down towards them without calculation, measure or reckoning - because, Allah Ta'ala has said:(Certainly those who observe patience will be given their reward in full without measure. Az-Zumar 10). So much so that people who had lived their life of the mortal world in perfect peace and comfort would wish, 'alas! Had our bodies been shredded with scissors during our life in the mortal world, we too would have earned a similar return for our endurance and patience against trials.'
May Allah enable us to follow the footsteps of His beloved Messenger (Allah bless him and grant him peace) and grant us steadfastness and not leave us alone even for a blinking of an eye. Ameen.
Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.
And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
