Kingship

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Once, a Knower of Allah was with a prince.

Prince:  Ask me for what you need.

Knower of Allah: Is that the way you speak to me when I have two servants and I am their master?

Prince: Who are these two?

Knower of Allah: Greed and Desire. I have conquered them while they conquered you. I rule over them while they rule over you.

Prince: Advise me.

Knower of Allah: Be a king in this world and you will be a king in the next.

Prince: How may I do that?

Knower of Allah: Renounce this world and you will be a king in the next.

Kingship lies in being free and enable to dispense of everything. Detach your needs and passions of this world and you will be a king. If you implement this you will find it to be true. It is difficult and it is not done overnight. It requires spiritual struggle, patience and perseverance, but if you do it, this is the key to success and happiness. If you are sincere and  ask Allah to help you with this, He will facilitate it. Allah is Al-Khabir, He is totally aware and He knows what is in your heart.

On the authority of Abu al-'Abbaas Sahl bin Sa'ad as-Saa'idee (radiAllaahu anhu) who said:
A man came to the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wassallam) and said:
O Messenger of Allah, direct me to an act which, I do it, [will cause] Allah to love me and people to love me. So he (sallAllahu alayhi wassallam) said:
Renounce the world and Allah will love you, and renounce what the people possess and people will love you.
[A Hasan hadith related by Ibn Majah and others with good chains of authorities]

Beautiful saying:

Verily, for Allah are the intelligent servants
They abandoned the world for they feared the temptation
They looked upon it
And when they realized it was not an abode for the one alive
They placed it in the depths of the ocean
And they accumulated virtuous deeds upon (her) vessels.

...Help one another to piety and godfearing; do not help each other to sin and enmity. And fear God; surely God is terrible in retribution.

[Qur'an Al-Ma'ida 5:2]

O you who believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (70) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. Whoever obeys God and His Messenger has won a mighty triumph.  (71)

[Qur'an Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]

Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
