Wishing You A Blessed New Hijri Year 1435

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

The new Hijri year is here. We ask Allah to bring great good to the Ummah in this new year, rectify its affairs and bring relief to those who are suffering.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: "The best (month) to fast after Ramadhan is the Month of Allah which you call al-Muḥarram. The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer." [Muslim]

One of the wisdoms behind the merit of fasting in the month of Muḥarram is that both are attributed to Allah – Muharram is the "the Month of Allah" and fasting, as in the ḥadith qudsi, "is Mine, and I will reward accordingly." [Bukhari and Muslim]

The greatest day in Muḥarram to fast is the tenth, 'Ashura. Fasting on this day wipes out the sins of the previous year.

Peace and blessings be upon the one whose Hijrah (migration to Madinah) marks the beginning of our calendar, Allah's beloved Messenger and his blessed family and Companions and all those that follow him until the last day.

Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace. (56)
[Qur'an Al-Ahzab 33:56]

By time, (1) Indeed, mankind is in loss, (2) Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. (3)
[Qur'an Al-'Asr 103]

May Allah increase us in worship and righteous works during this month of Muharram and bless our time. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
