بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum
Dear Friends
I pray that you are well.
You love people because of the beauty in their beings (physically or in terms of their character), and because they have done beautiful actions to you. This beauty of whoever you love is only a shadow of the beauty of Allah's attributes, and every kindness of what the people have shown you is only a shadow of the kindness of Allah.
Therefore, we should realize that our love should be purely for Allah.
"...But those who believe are far more intense in love for Allah..." Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:165
Whatever blessings you might be enjoying right now, those are from Allah. Allah is the Bestower of all gifts. If you count the blessings of Allah you will never able to count His blessings ever.
Nothing you hope and desire for is something that you find from other than Allah. You will find anything you want with Allah. So, ask Allah to give, and give to others without restrain. Allah does not force us to ask Him but He gives. Allah is Al-Karim. We bring people their needs without them even asking. We return favors of people, giving back more than they give us. This is all part of being grateful to Allah, Al-Shakur.
The Qur'an invites us to contemplate His blessings. The ulama' tells us that gratitude for the blessings of Allah is the surest door to love of Allah and in sincerity in worshiping Allah.
We thank Allah for everything and we ask Him to grant us sincerity in worshiping Him and His love. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. JazakAllahu khairan.
And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
