Rain Rain, Don't Go Away

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

It poured yesterday and it's pouring now. SubhanAllah.

One of the blessings of the people in areas like Malaysia is plenty of rainfall throughout the year but how many are taking advantage of this.

When rain falls, as it said in the hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d that is attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “There are two which will not be rejected: du’a at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining.” [Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’ ]

Let's make lots of du'a. Don't tell it to go away. Don't teach our young ones the nursery rhyme, "Rain Rain Go Way!" Instead, teach them...Rain Rain, Don't Go Away, Little Children Want to Pray. May Allah bless your children and your family.

Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
