When You Are Sad, Down and Alone

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

When you are sad, down and alone, and perhaps angry too, remember Hajar (Allah be pleased with her) being left alone with her infant son, Ismael (may Allah grant him peace,) in an uncultivated valley of the desert in the Arabian Peninsula having no fruit, no trees, no food, no water. The valley had no sign of life. Hajar did not know what Allah had hidden for her but she obeyed and remain patient.

But now you know some of the tremendous things that were hidden for her -- which include millions of people following her footsteps between Safa and Marwah during Umrah (the lesser pilgrimage) every day and during Hajj (Pilgrimage) every year and will continue until the Day of Judgment inshaAllah. We cannot imagine the reward she is getting in Paradise for her patience.

O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful. (200)
[Qur'an, AleImran 3:200]

(114) And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good. (115)
[Qur'an, Hud 11:115]

May Allah make us among the patient and the grateful, and grant us success. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
