Let's Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday) -- Wake Up Young People!

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate
Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Sometimes when you decide you want to do something for Allah and you are going to truly hold on to your faith, Allah will put something inside you to start something, to take an action, to make a move and the barakah (blessing) will come from Allah. He will guide the project through and through.

This was what happened for the youths in the story of the cave in Surah Kahf. When they showed that they were truly trying to hold on to their iman (faith), Allah carved a way out for them. He guided them to the right mountain. Allah put firmness in their hearts to face the most intimidating and nerve-wrecking moments of their lives to stand trial about their faith in front of the king and his courtiers and his soldiers. Without this from Allah, they would not be able to carry themselves and they would have caved in. But because they had exhibited the right character before, at the right moment Allah gave them a strength of heart that they could not have possessed themselves. And they stood up to the king.

It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad], their story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance. (13) And We made firm their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression. (14) These, our people, have taken besides Him deities. Why do they not bring for [worship of] them a clear authority? And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie?" (15)
[Qur'an, Al-Kahf 18:13-15]

Allah talks about how young people would be great in times of trial. Allah says the flag bearers of the Deen (religion of Islam), the people who prefer the discomfort over the luxury of life when it comes to holding on to the religion, are going to be young people.

So, come on young people, wake up!

The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, advised to: “Take benefit of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied, and your life before your death.” (Narrated by Ibn Abbas and reported by Al Hakim)

May Allah guide our youths. May Allah save us from the trial and tribulations of this life and the next. Ameen.

Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan.

And Allah knows best.
Wassalaam
