Narrated Uthman ibn Affan r.a that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best of you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it." [Bukhari, Muslim and others]
Learning the Quran is having a good understanding of what is being said in the Quran. Learning the Quran is to understand generally what applies to you of the halal and haram and apply that in your lives, to avoid the haram and observe the obligatory and the key sunnahs, and to set examples to other people. Learning the Quran does not mean to know tons of facts and books. The point to learn the Quran is to be what Aisha r.a described the Prophet's character (ﷺ) as being the Quran. The way we walk, talk, carry ourselves is like the Quran. It's very good to memorize the Quran and to know Arabic to get into the details of the Quran but the point is to be and to do something as oppose to just know something.
May Allah make us of His elect people of the Quran. Aameen
