Do Better Everyday

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Remember death often. Keep in mind that a time will come when I will die and be taken to my grave. At that time nothing in this world matters anymore-- your money, your job, your plans, your children, your spouse, your fame, your friends, except your deeds. Make use of whatever time you have left in those things that are pleasing to Allah, Exalted is He, and leave and stay away from those things that are displeasing to Him.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ‌ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٢٠...
وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَ‌ةً وَلَا كَبِيرَ‌ةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٢١﴾

Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good. (120) Nor do they spend an expenditure, small or large, or cross a valley but that it is registered for them that Allah may reward them for the best of what they were doing. (121)

وَٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦٓ ۙ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾ لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ عِندَ رَ‌بِّهِمْ ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾ لِيُكَفِّرَ‌ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَ‌هُم بِأَحْسَنِ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٣٥

And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous. (33) They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good - (34) That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do. (35)

Every single good act is recorded for you. Allah takes the best of our deeds and raises all of them to the level of the best deed we did. That is a special favor for someone who struggle for him. We should look at our deeds and make it better.

May Allah forgive all our sins and make us among the doers of good and keep us away from deeds that are displeasing to Him. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wassallam.

And Allah knows best and He alone grant success.
