Let's Read Surah Kahf Today (Friday) -- Have High Hopes in Allah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Have high hopes in Allah, and trust in His Mercy. Sometimes, He breaks our hearts so we remember to attach our ultimate happiness to Him alone. It’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that if only so-and-so was kinder, then everything would be perfect. Dunya will never be perfect. Allah gives us exactly what we need to drive us to Him. It is heartbreaking when people close to you are not nice to you, but perhaps their harshness is teaching you how important it is to be compassionate.

وَٱصْبِرْ‌ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَ‌بَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَو‌ٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِ‌يدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ ۖ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِ‌يدُ زِينَةَ ٱلْحَيَو‌ٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُۥ عَن ذِكْرِ‌نَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ‌هُۥ فُرُ‌طًا ﴿٢٨

And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect. (28)

[Qur'an, Al-Kahf 18:28]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ‌ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا ﴿٣٠

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds. (30)

May Allah grant us righteous companions and make us of those who are patient. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wassallam.

And Allah knows best and He alone grant success.
