Understand Who Allah is and What He Wants from You

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

Some Muslims can develop concept about Allah, Exalted is He, that is completely contradictory.

وَذَ‌ٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى ظَنَنتُم بِرَ‌بِّكُمْ أَرْ‌دَىٰكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِ‌ينَ ﴿٢٣﴾ فَإِن يَصْبِرُ‌وا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ‌ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ ﴿٢٤

And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers." (23) So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allah], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease. (24)

Our duty to ourselves is to read the Qur'an and try to understand it. From reading it, you will get the right understanding of who Allah, the Exalted, is and what He wants from you. At the very basic level, you will understand:
Who is Allah?
How does He deals with people?
What does He expects from us?
What are the kinds of people that should have hope from Him?
What are the kinds people that should be worried about their behavior?
What should be the right attitude about Allah?

May Allah help us have a close relationship with His Book and help us act upon His guidance. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wasallam.

And Allah knows best and He alone grant success.
