Trial of Success

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends

I pray that you are well.

One of the great trials of this life is to have a good life and when everything is going well. Allah, Exalted is He, talks about the heart being turned off from the remembrance of Allah.

However, most people don't know how big a test success is. You start thinking "I have accomplished a lot" even if it is just a thought that is going on in your head. A person might know that Allah provides but he still thinks or says he has a lot to do with the success.

Allah Almighty says,

And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know. (49)
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:49]

This is the same kind of things people before have said.

Those before them had already said it, but they were not availed by what they used to earn. (50) And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will not cause failure. (51)
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:50-51]

Do they not know that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. (52)
[Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:52]

May Allah make us among His grateful servants and those who remember Him often. Ameen.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi wassallam.

And Allah knows best and He alone grant success.

Wassalaam
