Knowledge & Practice

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Knowledge & Practice

We should always seek and acquire knowledge. Knowledge transforms the unknown into the known within us, and Allah created the heavens and the earth for the sake of knowledge and worship. Given this, we should strive to gain a significant share of it.

First, we must understand what knowledge is. Second, we must strive to seek it. Third, we must strive even further to make it a reality within ourselves. Knowledge is something profound. If you dedicate yourself entirely to it, it will reward you with a portion of itself. If you give only a part of yourself, it will provide you with nothing. This is a fundamental principle, and the Sunnah of Allah concerns knowledge. Seeking knowledge is challenging and requires sacrifices, often pushing us out of our comfort zones. Acquiring knowledge demands significant effort and exertion.

However, applying that knowledge, especially religious knowledge, and making it a reality within ourselves is even more challenging. Despite our learning, reviewing, and teaching, we may not feel a deep connection to the knowledge until we live by it. True possession of knowledge occurs only when it becomes a part of our daily practice.

Thus, as we dedicate time to learning, we should equally implement that knowledge and continuously seek Allah's forgiveness for our shortcomings.

Not only do we need to seek knowledge and implement it, but we also need to be safeguarded by our knowledge.

While seeking knowledge is a struggle, implementing it is a greater struggle, and ensuring that we are saved through our knowledge is an even greater one.
