Learn, Teach & Read the Quran
Learning the Quran is a noble endeavor.
Learn the Quran from the noblest teacher you can find, someone who is righteous and makes the Quran his/her life, not his/her livelihood.
Three traits the great Imams of the 10 Qiraat had in common for them to be chosen as the Imams of Qiraat were 1) Didn’t make the Quran their livelihood, 2) Being known for reciting in the Qiraat they were chosen for, 3) Being righteous/Godfearing.
‘Uthman ibn ’Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” [Bukhari]
'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (may Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The one who was devoted to the Quran will be told on the Day of Resurrection: 'Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite."
[Abu Dawud & At-Tirmidhi]
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Quran will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels), and he who recites the Quran and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards."
[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Read the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."
[Muslim]
